From the very beginning, they were known for their exceptional attention to detail and inspired menus, be it an intimate wedding or a gala celebration with 1400 guests
In 2005, they purchased Let's Pretend Catering, the name which they currently operate under. With events throughout Vermont, New York, New Hampshire and beyond, the focus has never changed. Expertly hand-crafted cuisine combined with innovative style to create truly unforgettable affairs.
Chef/Owners
Daniel Samson and Liane Mendez are graduates of New England Culinary Institute and have worked for several high end restaurants and cafes prior to starting their own catering company. The partnership formed while working together on several projects at NECI. Their complimentary styles and passion for excellence consistently elevate Let's Pretend to new heights.
Chefs
Amelia Briggs joins us from the Fresh Market - Cheese Outlet. As a fellow NECI graduate, Amelia has also worked with Daniel and Liane from time to time over the years. Her knowledge, culinary background and leaderships skills make her a natural fit to the Let’s Pretend Team.
Luke Bogges lets his passion shine with every pastry he creates. Having worked in the industry for over a decade, Luke is proud to have joined Let's Pretend. Luke skillfully creates each pastry by hand and from scratch. His work is the perfect addition to every event
Our service team
We are very proud of our service team. Our turnover rate is very low and many of our worker bees have been with the company for more than five years. Servers must go through an extensive workshop before being assigned to an event. This allows us to properly train each individual on service and etiquette.
